      Step-by-Step Process to Apply for GST Registration Online

    Step 1: Visit the Official GST Portal

    Go to the official GST portal (gst.gov.in).

    Click on Services → Registration → New Registration.

    Step 2: Fill Part A of GST Registration

    Provide basic details:

    • Legal Name of Business (as per PAN)

    • PAN of Business / Applicant

    • Email ID

    • Mobile Number

    • State

    You will receive OTP verification on mobile & email.

    After validation, an Temporary Reference Number (TRN) is generated.

    Step 3: Fill Part B of GST Application

    Login using TRN and complete detailed information:

    Step 5: ARN Generation

    After submission, an Application Reference Number (ARN) is generated.

    Track status under Services → Registration → Track Application Status.

    Step 6: Department Processing

    The GST officer may:

    • Approve application

    • Seek clarification (via GST REG-03)

    • Reject (if non-compliant)

    Respond within prescribed timeline (generally 7 working days).

    Step 7: GSTIN Allotment

    Once approved:

    • 15-digit GSTIN is issued
